Oh Jane, there are a lot of us here in the states that are in the same boat. I am on disability because of my heart and at the end of the month I am out of money. But there was a time I had lived on the streets and in the cold of winter with nothing to eat, save for whatever I could find. Banking institutions worldwide are nothing more than financial vampires sucking the financial life's blood from our monetary veins. Do they care if we have an account with them or not? No, they do not care, because they can always get customers. So I keep the minimum amount in my account, and go about my daily routine.
This poem reminded me that worldwide we are all in the same boat. Thank you for sharing.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your den sister, Barbie |

It's an interesting stand you take, and the humorous threads you've sewn into this poetic lament reveal, to this reader, that you're not yet ready to throw the towel in. Sounds like you believe in what you do, but fighting against, or trying to garner sympathy from system leviathans is, in most cases, a futile endeavor. Sounds like you need a miracle Miss Air.
A miracle of cash influx, or in your instance, Euro influx, or even of compassion. Good luck! I have pursued the arts since I was 5 years of age and, in certain seasons, made a magnificent amount of money doing so. Coming from a long line of artists and musicians, and me being the only author/poet in over twenty generations, I know beyond shadow that, in order to survive in the ebb and flow of living, artistic types must have another source of income other than just the art. r |
