My Shadow Through Time

Although soft and distant, I could still feel her there, reaching, searching for someone to share ....“To share a life I'd imagine,” I thought ... "no, to share a chat, a smile, a hug, a dream, .... to share a love," she said.

So far away, but yet so near ... so near to my heart and so very dear.

She walked with me, talked with me and made me feel all that is good and all that is real. A feeling of closeness, a feeling with no fear.

And although there have been times in my life when I could not feel her presence ... "she was" there, helping me, guiding me, and nurturing me through.

I have spoken with her many times and not once ever asked ...

So once, after having spent this time getting through and feeling her near ... I decided to finally ask her name ...

"My name?" She replied ..."My name is your soulmate, your shadow through time, ... so now it should be clear why I have helped and been so near .... now we can continue to walk together with love & admiration just as we have for so many years ... holding each other so very dear."

"I could still feel her there". Sometimes I feel like the past is so near too. Cartoons I watched as a child are still fresh in my mind years later.
