From Poetry Collection: "Compared to What"
Gracie C. McKeever (c) 1997

at the point when hearing "OUR"song

doesn't make you cry or curse

at the point

when their face no longer inhabits

every head you see body you pass

old dear friends abandoned during your binge

marvin al the isleys counselors

newly realized welcome you back

with gold chip heralding detox

until the wagon steps up to the next trip

Gracie,
I adored this piece, simple, strong, and revealing, I like revealing, for it remains my only path left lit! For the days of masquerading facade, enchant me no more..Oh yes, the wagon, I know her so well...

Well Gracie, I have 20 years on the wagon, and love it. My life went all the way to the bottom and then some, before God lifted my burden. I know the AA Fifth Chapter by heart. Bill
