What'll I Do When The Computer Quits
by Gene K. Garrison

Rated "G" by the Author.
The title tells it all. |

I love my computer,
am distraught when it doesn't work.
To an optimist,
down-time might be an opportunity —
time to get something else done.
Filing, for instance —
all those rejection slips
I keep for Uncle Sam,
should he ask if I really am a writer.
I am, I am.
I could show him proof.
Naaahhh! I really don't want to file.
Let the stack grow to the ceiling.
Record-keeping?
I don't want to do that either.
It's boring, and doesn't bring joy
or any other emotion.
What else might I do
when the computer is down?
I know! I could write poetry!
I can, can't I?

| LOL! I know exactly how you feel. Well, you certainly can entertain, whatever you want to call your work. Enjoyed every line. |
