The time of reckoning! What awaits?

The morn will come
with its ebbing light.
The harp is strum
my soul in flight.

My life and time
has seen its course
like a pantomime
through summer's discourse.

To my God I fly
on my life's deeds
for him to ask why
I chose those creeds.

Judge me true
and I will take
what is my due
for the life I make.

I feel I have lived everything that I need to in life. Been there, done that, which I have wanted to do. I am readly for the final reckoning too and have nothing to hide, as I asked God's forgiveness for my sins and believe on him. He took my loving hubby and left me behind. I cannot understand why but am Told God's ways are not your ways and he isn't ready for you yet. You have no choice it is god's doing when he wants you. It still puzzles me, but you poem makes a lot of sense to me too. Loved it.
