I wrote this poem in a little notebook with a big, fat Sharpie marker riding in a car in the dark. And I was tired. 'Nuff said.

The moon hung low on the totem pole made of cheese and souls with pleas
Begging "Please don't do the same to me that was done to free in the courtroom.
I want to come down from the sky and lie with red-headed strangers,
Naked and free to be like a car crash on the highway,
Spending time doing nothing at all
Waiting for the last petal to fall."

this is quite creative, filled with unexpected and unusual metaphors...and methinks it will cause a few to scratch their heads. Thier is a strong sense of yearning in this work on many levels, especially for freedom and justice. Interesting and well done work.

Greatness, Rachael.
Don't get me wrong. I have no idea what it means. But it flows real nice. And I have a thing for things I don't understand.
Love it.
