Comical satire / parody

I

backdoors
are not my specialty
although I search
there every night
for kitty cats
who will remind me
of a cat
I used to know

cats can be so fun
and they sometimes even
act like women
when they scratch stare bristle
slank stretch purr and rub

at other times/they even
try to love me
before they yell scream
and shout
then say ‘get out’
like a feline
I loved to stroke
in sexy rain

II

But then that
pretty kitty found
her a new master
and she trapped me
like some litter
creeping lost
unwanted ridiculed
in our lair

a bed is just
a plaything
and she bounced
upon that boxspring
like her cat
was a short-legged
gimpy fun thing

an apartment is not
a house
other tenants
didn’t blame me
when I torched
all her furnishings
thinking maybe
if very lucky
I’d get
the right one

III

burning flames
put them to sleep
life can be
so red hot sweet
rice pudding flambé
tasted cream of tail
swirling dead

cats are very sacred
or so they tell me
Cleopatra’s ancient lives
enchanting pantheistic night
ponderers like snakes
in Eden are really
bashing bummers

guess I’ll feed
some more strays
kitty cats without
their kittens
everywhere searching
for more cat purring
that I like
