Defiant Love of the Heart
Fire-Cracker in my hand,
Fire-Cracker in my brain.
My desire for her is so strong,
I feel I will go insane.
We hide this passion from the world.
Better than the years lying to ourselves.
The system says we are wrong.
The same system haven driven us apart.
For what once was innocent love,
Now has become thoughts of sin.
To who’s standard have we sinned?
The same voices who in secret drove us apart.
They say love is a fleeting thing.
Acceptance to the daily “settled dull”.
With their minivans and their “Mr. and Mrs. Jones” homes,
They do condemn!
Condemn us for having had true love.
True love ripped from our hands’, bodies’ and Soul.
So they condemn!
Patients is my hammer, love my shield of strength.
Go about your miserable lives.
Consumers of dead weight.
You know nothing of what you speak of,
Caught up in this cultures’ fate.
A predator with no teeth,
Time and Space have given way.
For all I need is my Tiger Lilly.
Together we can wait.
