A poem for my friend, Shaman Bill.

THE SHAMAN’S CIRCLE

The circle outlines stars, sun and moon,
forms the path of planets and constellations,
creates the round sounds of birdsongs,
and the orbit of the hunting hawk.
It is both entrance and exit,
the shape of the womb,
the shape of a last breath,
an opening that inhales things outgrown,
an opening that exhales new realities.
It is the wheel that time travels upon.
Reach out, clasp hands
form the shaman’s circle
that encircles everything.
It is the shape of an embrace.

David, your Shaman's Circle is a spiritual leap outside of the boundary of time. It is your very last line, "it is the shape of an embrace", that cements the bond between the two worlds, today and the future. It is a pleasure to once again read your work. Please send more our way. I wish you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

While I don't believe that shamans have any special powers except the experience of life. There are things in nature tells us all the time that we should pay attention to and your poem brought my attention to that.

Splendid vision here, David,
transcendant in thought and comprehensive

it's good to see you posting, it's been a while,
