The theme of this poem is the all too familiar problem that many poets, writers, journalists, etc. have experienced at some point in the literary careers. Writer's Block. The poem was titled as such because I forced myself to write this poem as an attempt to break through said mental block. By the time I reached the end, I impressed myself with what I had written and thus felt it was the result of 'unleashing' the writing that was blocked.

I can see it
In my mind
What I want to say
To convey what's in my head
In a different way
I want it out and about
No longer just an idea
It's my words, not my power
That the people should fear

I want it new
I want it often
Off the top of my head
I want it fast
I want it neat
Just my style instead
It's in my head
I know it's there
But it won't come out
It's like it's hiding
Gotta find it
Gotta figure it out

I gotta change it
Rearrange it
Transform it to me
I want to make it nice and pretty
For the people to see
I got a brain and it works, man
This is my art
But to do what I do
I've gotta take it apart

This stuff is work
Never easy
End Result to see
It takes me hours
Just to get it
To what I want it to be
So when you read this
Don't just see it
As mere words on a screen
This is more than just expression
..It's an Extended Dream..

Spirit onto Paper
Soul into Words
Energy given Focus
Concentration Undisturbed
Expression given Form
Rhythm into Lines
Time into Product
Effort Maximized

Thinking something new
Playing every card
Writing isn't easy
Poetry is hard...

At first, I wrote about that feeling of knowing that you want to say something, but can't quite figure out how to say it.

After that, I more or less knew what I wanted, so I described how I wanted it to be specifically.

The third part consisted of what I was going to do with my words, once I had them.

At that point, I wrote what came to mind as my writer's block was crumbled. I believe that anyone, if they put forth enough effort and aren't overly critical on themselves at the time, can effectively write through that mental block. This proves that belief to me and while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure they can write their own proof instead of waiting for a block to pass.
