Ballad of Broken Hearts

I miss the way you'd hold my hand
And stroke my fingers gently.
I miss the way I'd rest my head
as you caress my hair intently.

And I miss the way our lips would meet
And our passionate embrace.
And I miss the way we could give up secrets
Without either losing face.

I miss the hours I would spend
Contemplating you.
And I miss the times you and I spent alone.
Although those times were few.

I miss the how I could stare into your eyes
And smile so serenely.
And I miss the way you'd smile back
And inadvertently complete me.

I miss the walks we used to take
Under moonlit sky.
And I miss the way you made me feel
Even when I cried.

I miss the way we'd hold eachother
In the dead of quiet.
Our muted words, profoundly heard.
In the silence we'd stand by it.

You made me laugh
And made me cry
You gave me truth
And never lied
But all these things
I could not say.
But you were wonderful
In every way.

Mike this piece is wonderfully painful.
'I miss the how I could stare into your eyes
And smile so serenely.
And I miss the way you'd smile back
And inadvertently complete me.'
This single passage sums up the while of why you miss her so much. Great Write.
