A Winter Day is a Different Day

I walked outside on a dark winter day
I began to pick up my pace
Almost as if I were running a race
The cold whisper of the wind smacks against my face

I started thinking about all those special memories I have of you and realized
All I wanted to do was to feel your grace

Even though I knew I was alone, I never thought it would be this way
I would give anything just to see your face

I wish I knew my rightful place
I know you would say

That everything will be okay…

But my heart has been left out
Somewhere in space

I know you would say
That there will be my time…

But I feel myself as if someone spinned a dime

You are the only one who knew me
Who knows me..

Even though I am alone, I never thought it would be this way
I always thought that it would change someday

Each day I see the sunrise and the sunset
Hoping that it would change that today…

Now I am just going to keep on walking
Until I reach you…too see you…waiting...too see me.
