Having never been zozzled
on giggle water,
I can only guess what it's like
to be hit in the head
with a shovel
or run over by a truck.
The sugar I've tasted
was most generally
sweet, the lemons--tart,
I've never given much thought
to if they were not.
Surprises are hard to come by
in a world that's gone grey,
but
hearing your voice
nearly blew me away.
