|I have a constant argument with people over the concept of choice, as in "decided." Tell me, do we decide? I think we decide one thing: to be or not. Embedded in that choice is thirst for pleasure/avoidance of pain, a corollary, one could say. I wrote a four liner yesterday. About slitting my wrists, but only mentally. I was told by a friend that this was an impossible contradiction (redundant, i thought). Besides instinct, I feel that we are "told." It may seem that we outgrow the telling. Do we really?|
