I Promise

Some simple promises I hope to fulfill.

I Promise
To my wife and my best friend,
I'll love and cherish to the end.
To the child I watch with pride,
My love for you I'll never hide.
The respect I give for my father and mother,
Cannot be given to another.
The things they taught cannot be replaced,
It's their memories my heart has embraced.

It was years ago I pledged to defend,
My God, my Country and all free men,
To stand beside and help to fight,
For all that is just and all that is right.
When I fly our flag that stands for so much,
It's with honor and pride I'll render my touch.

These are promises of my free will,
These are promises I will fulfill.
And as I stand before God's throne,
To all my friends let it be known,
I'll speak your names without regret,
I'll ask your names he not forget.

Ronnie!!!!

StormSpinner from MySpace! Had to delete account LONG story. No place for that here. Sounds like you're a man of your word: well done.

Thank you, Sir, for your service; welcome home, soldier, welcome home, and SEMPER FI! *Once a Marine, always a Marine.*

(((HUGS))) and love, *StormSpinner*
