Some simple promises I hope to fulfill. |

I Promise
To my wife and my best friend,
I'll love and cherish to the end.
To the child I watch with pride,
My love for you I'll never hide.
The respect I give for my father and mother,
Cannot be given to another.
The things they taught cannot be replaced,
It's their memories my heart has embraced.
It was years ago I pledged to defend,
My God, my Country and all free men,
To stand beside and help to fight,
For all that is just and all that is right.
When I fly our flag that stands for so much,
It's with honor and pride I'll render my touch.
These are promises of my free will,
These are promises I will fulfill.
And as I stand before God's throne,
To all my friends let it be known,
I'll speak your names without regret,
I'll ask your names he not forget.
