My Collection of Quotes
by Miranda Hynes

Sunday, October 28, 2007
Not rated by the Author.

This is a collection of original quotes which might morph into poems or simply stay as single stanzas, only time will tell.

I've got a wall of post-its next to my bed
With ideas waiting to be used,
Quotes waiting to be said.

I know what it feels like when there are no words,
No simple adjectives to explain what I've heard.

My mind's like a blank space,
Ideas pop up and then are sucked away without a trace.
The only way to capture them is to write them down,
Paint them a picture or assign them a sound.

I believe in being who I was made to be
Whether it was by god or genes,
All I know is that it made me free.

True friends are like lovers once the burning passion has faded to contented embers.

I always keep looking,
For something that isn't there.
For a clue to the old times,
When all games were played fair.

Miranda,

Excellent Collection. You will live long and prosper if you remember to, "Keep hope in your dreams, love in your heart and bitterness at your feet." Peace and Blessings to You Always, Paul.
