An attempt at a double entendre

Bolts of lightning rip through the skies
Split seconds of darkness one cannot hide

Thunder's music deafening the ear
Closing out the world that you used to hear

Scream if you will
no sense of turning back
or ride it out slowly,
await the attack

Tossing and twirling this storm has a quest
To be louder and stronger it won't stop to rest

It reaches its peak and starts its descend

Accomplished a job right up to the end

A miracle of nature no one can defeat
yet, after the madness
somehow there is peace.

Love how this changes pace.
Both nature and mankind can be calm and enjoyable, or horrendous, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.
