My Son went off to war, this is my ode to him and all soldiers deployed worldwide..
I am very sad today its time to say goodbye,
To my Darling boy and I sit and cry,
Why does there have to be war,
Why oh why oh why,
hard to think of all those gone
All those left to die.
Our Diggers in the trenches,
Diggin in the dirt,
never mind if they,ve been shot
or any of them hurt..
They just keep on a going,
Blood, sweat and tears,
Our Soldiers bound together
For many many years..
My Grandad in The Army,
Now they take my son,
When I saw that little boy,
I never saw a gun..
now every time i close my eyes,
i see him overseas,
I get down by the side of my bed
on my hands and knees..
Please Universe, please Angels,
Please keep our soldiers safe,
Please don't have them lining up
at the pearly gates..
Please who ever's up there,
please listen to my cry,
please don't let my darling son
be shot and left to die..
Please let there be peace again,
please I ask you from my heart,
it's so very very hard for us to be apart..
I will put my arms around him
and beg him not to leave..
but this is what he has to do
and my Soul will grieve..
I'm very proud of you my darling,
I'm very proud of you son,
Please come back home safe to me,
come back home to your mum..
For My son.. and all the soldiers all over the world..
From My Heart..I Love You xx

|((((HUGS)))) for you and your soldier boy; may God watch out over him, keep him safe! I will pray for protection from warrior angels over him; you can count on that! I pray for the military men and women every single day, thank them whenever I see one.

First of all, thank your son for me. As the daughter/sister/cousin/niece of, AND a Veteran myself, I know the fear you have. A beautifully moving, compassionate prayer, very well penned.
