Written many years ago when I was a emotional teenager, and used recently in my novel For Nil Consideration.
Life is fun,
Life is sadness,
Filled to the brim with evil and badness.
I need help,
That’s why you’re near,
I need protecting from my fear.
Black is the world,
In which I’ve been,
Is life worth living despite what I’ve seen?

I am thankful that our protectors have been keeping the harsh realities of war far away from us. If we cherish life and love our neighbors, we find happiness stays within our hearts.
