This poem is taken from my first book of poetry "All by Myself Poetry."

Fatherís Day Mom

Happy fatherís day mom, you earned that title

when daddy went away.  You couldíve left too,

but instead chose to stay. Sheltered me from dangers. showed me the way. What else can I say?

            But happy fatherís day mom!

            and if anybody thinks that

            Iím trying to be funny.

Itís only because they havenít invested their time, love and money.  Always, always there to teach, nurture and share. Making sure I always had.

When times were good or really bad.

Itís now your time to share in the pride

of the soul you created and kept alive.

A living picture of love and respect.

with this simple offering that you hold in your hand I truly want you to understand that

although itís fatherís day mom. Today Iím your biggest fan!

                        I LOVE YOU MOM!

I have been developing my poetry skills working and performing with the Watts Prophet for over forty years. All by Myself Poetry takes us back to where it all started. It's a book of hope and expectation in a hopeless situation.
