This Poem written by My Brother:
Deacon Andy Mayers

The Carpenter’s Task

The sound of mallets and chisels it seems,What once were two logs now appear as two beams.

One cut to length, twice high as a man.

One a bit shorter passed two out stretched hands.

Are these for a boat? Or post for a door?

But deep in my heart, I knew this was much more.

As the two came together, tears filled my eyes.

For there stood a cross and Christ Crucified.

The Carpenter’s task was quite simple for man.

But the sin of the World,

placed the nails in His hands.

And the world has been repentance ever since, nicely written...

Be safe,

As I read this, I couldn't help but get tears in my eyes. Yes, it is we who placed those nails, and continue to crucify him through heartless deeds. One day, when we join Him, He will remind us that He does love us. After all it is He who created us.

God bless you. Kathy
