What the words "I Love You" convey to me |

The Song of Our Heart - I love you
I love you,
Three simple words,
These words we feel
For each other
In simplicity
They are so full
Of the complexity
That is love's power
How much love do we feel?
It can never be measured
The amount is immense
And grows stronger each passing day
By the words we say
to each other each day
a thousand feelings are included inside
the soft petals enfolding "I love you"
the words resonate with a vibrancy
that tingles with the heart-pulse of love's life
to be one's beloved is the desire on fire
within the very blood coursing through our veins
and when distance keeps us apart it pains
blue-true love like ours for an urgency
takes precedence over our need to be
together that can not be fulfilled so long as
we are separated by any distance
How much love does this doubled-heart hold?
Combined into one the amount is untold
and the acts to seal the bond are bold
soothing balm, warm and caressed, not cold
the love we feel is burning fevered ecstacy
a wild fire so consuming as to encompass us
with the depths of lasting passion undying
and the love-shine that comes out is bright as sunshine
to the highest peak
to the fartherest valley
to the deepest depth in the sea
to the stars and beyond our galaxy
beyond eternity our love shall last
to heaven's very gate,
this love shall be
i love you my darling
though we have yet to meet
i know you with every fiber of my being
and i love you without hesitation
i trust you i adore you i honor you i obey you
you are not hard to love for you have always been
the love of my life, my blood's own happiness
and to think that soon we will be together
is a must be that has no other possibility
i love you, i love you, i love you
this is the song of our heart
i am blessed

Thank you for sharing these powerful sentiments about love, Jerriann. Coincidentally, I posted a definition of "love" that someone gave to me a couple of days ago in my blog here at AD. Love and best wishes,
