Death of Someone Close.

Fragments

copywrite: Melissa C. Rives

09/25/08

Riddled from this heavy load

I simply can't comply,

trapped beneath this weight I bear

I'm so afraid to try.

Try once more to rise above

this tide that brings me down.

I am so many pieces

Fragmented dead and drown.

Although I don't know which way

the tide will take me out,

Forgiveness is the center,

what this is all about.

Why can't I keep on living?

without this fear and dread,

why must these thoughts keep time

alone inside my head?

Maybe I'm just an evil

tormented soul insane,

Perhaps there's nothing that can

erase all of this pain.

Some things cannot stay the same

of this I know it's true ,

I'm choking on these sorrows

my face is turning blue.

No more rope, absent of hope

there's nothing left to say,

wish that I could rewind time

before you went away.

These fragments shall always splinter our everyday thoughts with images of yesterday's glimmering shards through memory for all time. Yet, we pray that we shall not ever forget that one day in paradise, we shall meet those again that once we cast our presence and warm touch upon. Beautiful wording and rhyme.

Hi Melissa, its hard to loose a love one.We always have it in the back of out minds "the what if" equation in terms of going back and thinking about doing things differently when they was here.Life does indeed move on and I know you will move on even though it will be a struggle.Just know that God will always be on your side and plus you have family and friends that care about you very much.take care

When we lose a loved one that we cared deeply about I do not think we ever truly stop missing them. The tired old cliches just don't work and time may dull the ache but never dimishes the wishes that as you said so sadly in this write...the urge to rewind time. Hang in their Melissa and know that you have friends here on the den who care.

How bittersweet, and I sense some regret, but life does move forward no matter what we think or feel. Sometimes we need to accept our faults along with the many good points as combined it is what makes all of us the unique individuals we all are. Continuing the journey through God's love and understanding will see you through the roughest of times...

Be always safe,
Karen
