Greenie, the one-eyed gator

Okay, it's kinda corny but it's also kinda Christmas - and besides who ever heard of a sleigh landing on a Spanish-tiled roofed home? [With apologizes to Santa and Rudolph.]

Greenie, the one-eyed gator
Had a very toothy mouth
And if you ever saw it
you would want to check it out.
All of the other gators
Used to grunt and hiss his name
They never thought poor Greenie
Would ever eat any swampy game.
Then one humid, Christmas Eve
Greenie seemed to slay
A tall green, thing that shone so bright
It blinded them for most of the night
So all the gators feared him
But later each croaked out with glee
For Greenie, the one-eyed gator,
Had eaten someone's Christmas tree.

This is so very cute, William! There is another version out there called "Randolph the Reg-gunned cowboy". I'll have to see if my son remembers it. Thank you for sharing...

Very Cute, William - and I hear Greenie is once again very hungry this year - be careful! And have a wonderful Christmas, too.
