Doesn't matter what age you lose a loved one... it doesn't hurt any less. Regardless, over time, memories grow stronger, and the loss becomes easier to cope with. I miss you mom and dad more than you'll ever know xoxoxo

Upon closing my eyes

Continually seein you lying there

next to the bedside

holding your hand...

should I sit... no maybe stand

wanting you to call out to me

you lie there motionless

this isn't how its suppose to be

Dear God if you can hear....

bring him back to me...

i've so much to say

don't take him away

Always on guard

keeping feelings at bay

Dad, i'm here...can you hear me?

I love you...I've made it to you

Can you squeeze my hand...

I love you..... i don't know what to do

Heart slowly dying....

no rhythm no more....

I stand strong...

though I'd want to run

not wanting to let you go

I've no choice

can't be selfish

Holding on to you..would be for me...

Not you.......

this is the hardest thing....

i'll ever have to do

Tears are pooling...

collapsing upon the floor....

you are so lifeless...

you are no more

I can feel your soul

as it lifts to the sky

my heart.... keeps yelling, WHY???? God WHY???

Dear God give him to me....

this is NOT his time..

you've made a mistake, you see...

But he continues to rise...

this is my fathers demise....

but I swear to you...

there were tears in his eyes...

a peaceful look cameover...

a slight grin..

even smile....

inside my head...

he said I love you...baby ....

no buts, ifs , ands...or maybe....

My life has been long... sometimes hard...

but everyday was worth the while...

so my dear child...

please let me go in peace....

for my body is tired...

my heart has ceased....

don't look down in shame...

Don't be riddled in grief...

Praise God, be happy for me...

no longer in pain...

I've eternal relief...

Stunned by the sound

of his voice seeping through me

In utter disbelief...

a calm moves over me...

those words

no matter how brief

dried up those tears...

gave me hope

I know I'm strong

his love will enable me to cope.

Much can be seen within your poem...from love to sadness to the eternal joy that one will become...we all feel every bit of the emotions that you express and we all release our loved ones as we will wish for our loved ones to release us...

God bless you and your family...
