A little black kitten
Named Midnight came
Through my life one night

She was small and cuddly
A small bundle of short black hair
Filled with energy and delight

A little black kitten
Named Midnight came
Through my life one night

She was small and cuddly
A small bundle of short black hair
Filled with energy and delight

As she zoomed from room to room
batting her toys around the room
with her small paws she used
As a big broom

When she was hungry she scratched my hand
When she was thirsty she scratched my hand
When she wanted to cuddle she lay
On my stomach and purred

But alas, I had to give her up
My allergies flared up
I was scratching my skin off

It is a shame
I came to love that little
Ball of black short hair
That came into my lie one night
Named Midnight
