This short poem is for a dear friend who just showed the world a smile, but, inside she was crying for help

This is for a very dear woman who was so full of life, always smiling, beautiful shining red hair, willing to help anybody that needed her, if only we had known just how much SHE needed us!!  She committed sucide January 16th, 2008.  If only we had seen some signs of depression or even sadness in her, but, sadly, we didn't.  THis is for her, and for all the other people who have lost friends and family to suicide.

The world is made special but by a few,

Some we read about, some we knew

They show us right and sometimes show us wrong

They show us their life, sadly, best it seems after they are gone

I really felt this one as a similiar thing happened with a friend of mine who attempted suicide and I never saw it coming in a million years-thankfully, she didn't succeed, and thankfully, I feel more aware now to keep my eyes open. Thanks for this.

Always so sad to hear, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Sometimes the gifted are only with us for a short time, but will be remembered through eternity....

Be always safe,
Karen

How well I know what you are feeling, Gary!
Just today, I got a letter about a former employer of mine, who did the same thing.

For those who didn't know this wonderful woman, they really missed out. Bless this lady, everyday.

Your words ring true. This is beautiful, I'm sure she'd love it.
God bless.
