pains and sorrow become?

sometimes the weight of life

tends to bend a soul

push the thoughts

down into pit

the gates of he;; open

the soul is almost

consumed

wait on a vision

hoping for the best

yet the beast crawls

tugs and pugs

feeling your emotions

giving in and quiting

you find an edge

particle of light

lifting your thoughts

maybe its God

reaching down ibside

of you

cant say

just a voice or thought

opens into the soul

what ever happens

strength of hope

begins to trust

the heart and soul

if tis bitter sweet

it was an

answer

weighting for a lift

Rich, this poem really shows the depths of despair and how one small nudge--maybe from God--can lift you from its depths. Tricky title, but it fits.
