Truly an anointed brother,
a wonderful human being.
A gallant soldier and friend!
Michael, the Arch Angel came from heaven,
at last bugle call and God;s Word,
to retrieve this patriarch-
body and soldier,
and our brothers name was Herb!
Husband, father, gallant soldier,
truly a prophet, priest and king,
fulfilled earth's mission victoriously,
ordained by the Lord God supreme!
A singer, author, musician, poet,
lyricist, artist, and writer.
Major Herbert Metoyer helicopter pilot,
design engineer, loving soul and fighter!
He loved his wife Geri his burning desire,
kept his family and soul on fire!
Herb enlightened all those he touched,
asked very little but gave so much.
The Black Writers Guild,
and the Detroit Writers Guild, his life!
Herbs attack on illiteracy and strife,
helping his people to excel in life!
The chariots came that morning,
for the patriot and friend of mine,
while the angels blew their trumpet,
God said, welcome home son of mine!!
the dancing poet
