Short poems about myself. These were written while sitting in class getting my masters degree. |
|
Another World
Sitting on the couch with a pillow behind my head.
The television is on but I do not hear it.
I don't see or hear the person in the room.
I am engrossed in a book.
I have entered the world I am reading.
All day I lay and read.
I get up to drink, eat, and use the bathroom.
The person in the room finally enters my mind.
He says, "Its time for bed."
I sigh and say, "Just one more chapter!"
Three hours later I finish the book.
Smiling I go to bed.
Boredom
I sigh.
I yawn.
I scratch my head.
I roll my eyes.
I sigh again.
My Soul
My soul is
Like many bubbles floating around
A changing world.
