This poem is written to a dad from his daughter who wants to let him know the pain he caused her from his abuse when she was a child.

Dad I don't know why you've thrown me away,do I remind you of What you did that day?

I long to have a relationship with you, though I don't know why,you have no idea of the pain I have inside

Why have you found it so easy to dismiss me from your life?
Do you know how much pain  I feel and strife?

You wounded me when I was so young, not understanding fully what you had done, I continue to carry the scars to this day,and you continue to push me away,

Dad I know God is going to heal my wounds, and what you meant for my harm God will use it for my good.

I do love you I don't why, you don't know how many tears I've cried, but I know Jesus loves me best and he alone will give me rest.

So with that I will just wait and see, until then  will pray for you and me.

                                            Your daughter

Sharon, you are a brave woman and this poem proves it.I think you deserve a purple heart for all the things you went through by the abuse of your dad because I am sure it was war.You have such a big heart to even still love him to this day even though you haven't forgotten what he did to you as a child.Take care of yourself

Very honest and frank, at the same time giving insight into the deep wounds that refuse to heal. I admire your courage in baring your heart and past here, I hope others will not view it negatively. Thank you for sharing, we all learn much from the past.
