Betrayal, tears well up in his eyes as he cries inwardly that his wife has left. His tears are brutal as they are born from anger that she won't accept his unfaithfulness but flies the nest.

 Brutal Tears

Brutal tears rain down from within

Hidden by your subterfuge

How am I supposed to know

What you're feelin'

When you won't reveal

Your battered heart

I've loved you blindly

From the start

But now is the time for me to leave

There's no point in lying

And no denying

That I will always be a part

Of your history

But I need more than

Your with holding

What you're feeling

Crying brutal tears of anger

And regret

That we ever met

Whilst I'm loving the memory

I will never forget

You hurt me deeply

When you were kissing her

I was trembling watching with

A frozen tear

You didn't even notice

Nor hear

Me scream in silent fear

Brutal tears

Keep falling as you plead

Your innocence

But you betrayed us

In the true st sense

And expect me to stay?

I won't be your doormat

Your foot warmer, maid, slave

I am your equal

To be loved, cherished,

Protected and saved

You can cry brutal tears

All you want

You can shake with rage

But this bird has flown

And when you return home

Will be long gone

From your cage.

Adios Amigos

Goodbye my friend

You were not worth

My tears

Enjoy with your new flame

I'm not playing the

Waiting in game.

Betrayal is so hurtful... ...I cannot think of a cure, except to find someone who would never betray you. Your verses got me thinking, Andrea. Love and best wishes to you,
