Handle carefully life's tender reed,
It is easily bruised like our hearts!

Zorkified dungeons reek of utter madness,
Cows roam fattly in the street with milk.
China's seamtress crying tears of sadness,
Vicious worms have ruined all of her silk!

The smiling carnival clown now only frowns,
Sadly wears his broken heart on his sleeve.
His lover Annabelle, a thief stole his money,
and absconded with his soul now he grieves!

Friends who scare friends are like that too,
Ripping away viels of pretension to say boo!
Frightened they run screaming down the street,
Halloween party over, trust broken, boo hoo!

Children sit in rapt attention doe-eyed,
Naivete' lives freely in innocent hearts.
Not sensing faith's fragility to shatter,
A false word tears their worlds apart!

Life's rare wonders are too special to describe,
Twittering heartfelt moments in a lover's eyes,
The wonder and mysteries of a true love defined,
Jesus' savior healing touch to a heart now wise!

Your pen expresses hierologic-poetic-philosophic concepts and your voice ponders through the lines of "O' for a Second Chance!" – which ends with a proselytical message.

In appreciation,

A great poem to describe the times we live in, Rockie. It helps to know that there's still good in the world. This poem touches on the good and the bad. Balance is important. Love and Hugs,

Hi Starman:

I think that no matter how hurt we are in the past, there is ALWAYS a light that guides us into the future happiness, and we must never give up. With love and Jesus in our hearts we will continue our journeys. Life is too short to be worrying about the past that we cannot change.

I love your poem!

I USUALLY LOOK AT THE END RESULTS OF ONE PINING OVER A MISTAKE, ESPECIALLY IN LOVE. YOUR LAST LINE SUMS UP MY FEELINGS...IF ONE HAS LEARNED SOMETHING FROM THEIR MISTAKE THEN...ALTHOUGH IT IS HARD TO DO...TAKE THAT WISDOM ACQUIRED AND MOVE ON. WELL WRITTEN AND ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING AND BLESSINGS.

There are too many false faces and too many fools that believe the deceiver. Why I don't know. Too many cry boo hoo. Too many.
Interesting poem, not sure I understand it fully but you're correct in stating to handle life's tender reed, It is easily bruised like our hearts!
A zillion broken hearts make for a crippled world.

Our dear Starman, life is like a tube of majo, you press and some come out to please you, you press too much and discover that you can's put it back and you just made the supply shorter.
Every day at breakfast I see the majo tube diminishing and I remember that I have squeezed another day out of my life's tube, only regret? I can't see how much left are in the damn thing!!!

What an Awesome stately honest poem STARMan!
Everyone should have a SECOND CHANCE wished upon their hurting or discontented souls!
As their spirits must take flight, into the vastness of the night~!

Love your heart and full intentions, putting your heart out on your sleeve, has never been that "EASY" to me, but it's all I know, and when it comes to friends, lovers, and People, my heart and efforts do get stepped on! I can RELATE, I think many will ~ and Can ~

WRITE ON!
