Memory is a zephyr
and kills time only for a moment but --

Like a wave rearing up lion-rampant
sweeps the helpless sand to the deep
how the fragrance of my old friend
in a department store bottle

turned back the clock,
swept me back to the time
she opened her mouth
and out flowed a young and meticulous song.

And her body made delicate,
childish movements,
and her innocence went
SLAP!
on the elder faces.
