I saw from a dimly lit room

Two lovers exchange a kiss

A soft warm fireplace burning

As hot as their passion for the other

Fill the room with love and tenderness

Both tender with touch

Their backs were against me

I peered through a frosted glass

With a smile on my face

In love they were it was obvious

But just as I was about to leave

A familiar face did I see

And all too soon my mood soured

My heart died that day

When the face I recognized was that

of my husband

Ah, this so reminds me of an old, old Nancy Wilson (not the one from Heart) song, "Guess Who I Saw Today?" . . . The same inflections and plot . . . Very nicely done . . .

Whoa, I just know that really hurt, expressed well...

Be always safe,

Ouch, that must have been terribly painful. I can't imagine it, your poem tells that pain well.
