This is a poem about my wife. Our golden wedding is in late August. The chemical symbol for gold is Au. But you knew that. We've lived in Tarrytown, Austin, TX since late 1961, and Austin since August, 1960. Dixon

There once be a...well, there still be, Thank goodness
a lady whose first name is Billy.
Not Billie, she’s Billy after her father,
Clifford Lewis
With the unlikely nickname of Bill
Or Billy.
Oh really, don’t bother
Or make a big fuss
Just get on the bus
And come to see us
So’s to save me the trouble
Of trying to bottle
Her qualities golden
Before August.
Now August is the golden month
For Gail and me to Tarry,
And gold for every one of us,
From "August's" first two letters.
