ONE THAT ONCE WAS IN MY WOMB, I LONG TO TOUCH YOU FROM ACROSS THE ROOM.
AS A CHILD, I WARNED YOU OF DANGER, AND SOMETIMES NOW, I FEEL LIKE A STRANGER.
I CARRIED YOU TO SCHOOL AND HELPED YOU CROSS THE STREET, BUT MY HEART IS STILL YEARNING FOR OUR HEARTS TO MEET.
I LONG FOR THE RELATIONSHIP OF MOTHER & SON.
WHY AFTER 16 YEARS WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN.
WHERE IS MY BABY BOY THAT ONCE YEARNED FOR ME?
YOU CREEPED, YOU CRAWLED, YOU WALKED. NOW, CAN YOU RUN TO ME?

[WRITTEN ON MY SON'S BIRTHDAY 04/04/00. MY SON WENT TO LIVE WITH HIS DADDY AT THE AGE OF 12. PROBLEMS KEPT ME FROM SEEING MY SON. I'M HAPPY TO REPORT MY SON CAME HOME FOR HIS 18TH BIRTHDAY.HE IS LIVING WITH ME. WE LOST 6 YEARS TOGETHER, BUT SOMETIMES IT FEELS AS THOUGH WE WERE NEVER APART.]

WELL SIS YOU GAVE ME CHILLS AGAIN. YOU SEEM TO BE DOING THAT ALOT LATELY.YOU KNOW WHAT I NEVER LIKED TO READ MUCH BUT I COULD READ YOU WRITINGS ALL DAY. I DONT KNOW IF ITS BECAUSE YOUR MY SIS AND I KNOW WHAT YOU WENT THROUGH CAUSE I KNOW YOU SO WELL MAKES THESE WRITING 3 TIMES AS SPECIAL OR IF ITS JUST THE WONDERFUL HEART OF YOURS SHINING THROUGH. BUT I KNOW ONE THING I ALWAYS KNEW YOU HAD IT IN YOU. I SIT AND WAIT FOR MORE CANT WAIT TILL THE NEXT POEM OR WRITING FROM YOU. LOVE ALWAYS SIS

Ms. Kay I know that Derrick was not always there, but I don't know why, but I do know how you feel my older brother has not lived with me since I can't remember. I do love and miss him I see him in his daughters eyes every time she comes to stay with me.
