A story/poem of love |

Twas' on the fifth of May
The Faerie Queen did decree
that a special day would be set aside
For a waltz to be
Her son, the Prince, a handsome lad
Should meet his future bride
So she would send out invitations
To all the faerie maidens
To which they must abide
.
In the deep forest word spread far and near
All the lovely faerie maidens let out a happy cheer
For the Prince was gentle
Kind and soft of heart
Anyone lucky enough to be with him
Would never want to part
.
Finally the day arrived
They all gathered in the forest meadow
Awaiting the Queen and her son
The Prince to come
They were to arrive exactly
At the setting of the sun
.
With faerie lights aglow
Along the path they did come
And all the maidens sighed
One by One
For the Queen was majestic in her gown
Of gold with her silken wings
But her son, the Prince, was a sight to be seen
.
He had a crown upon his head
Adorning his long black hair
Dressed in gold from head to toe
He sat down in his chair
A smile upon his handsome face
Made all the maidens sigh
His wings were a golden hue
Fluttered ready to fly
they walked before him
They each bowed their heads
But he didn't see them
Something caught his eye instead
.
Walking into the meadow
A shy little sprite
Had a glow about her
A lovely silvery light
He couldn't take his eyes off of her
As she walked slowly into the space
Leaving a trail of faerie dust in her wake
.
The Prince was enchanted
Rose to walk down
To meet this special faerie
In shining silver
Holding his hand out she shyly took it
And they began to dance
They waltzed all night
Enchantment filling the air
As silver faerie dust fell softly
From her lovely hair
.

Enchanting and mystical the first sight of
this shy little spirte appearance in silver..faerie dust...to waltz

"A shy little sprite, Had a glow about her" Sometimes a person comes into sight that has ...something that sets them apart from all others and and then, sadly, as so often happens, the person passes from view. To me your Faerie poem has lovely meaning.
