It presents the realizations of a lady in the later part of her life about the decisions taken during the young age.

Whenever I felt lonely
Tried to be with the world
To share my sorrows
But much later realized
The world makes lonelier
The lonelier you feel.
Ran after wealth whole life
Searching for myself
To see my real identity
But much later realized
You gain the true identity
When there's nothing to lose.
Tried to show my strength
Always hiding my tears
Expressing myself entirely
But realized much later
Tears always convey
What words can never say.
Relied on the emotional fool
Never listening to the mind
Always followed the heart
But realized much later
Every decision of the heart
Thought and regretted after.

Ah, but perhaps it's not too late to embrace new ideas and make new choices! Interesting poem, Neelam.
