And Death Marches On

Winter comes with cold despair
People freezing everywhere
Hungers ache is never filled
Mothers tears are often spilled
And death marches on

Spring brings a gentle rain
We slowly start to forget the pain
Flowers bloom in fields of green
Isn't that a pretty scene
And death marches on

Summer brings a burning sun
Dogs are barking children run
Days are longer then before
I still hear the drums of war
And death marches on

Fall is just around the corner
I am just another mourner
Graveyards filled up every where
People weeping in despair
And death marches on

Good analysis of the seasons, and yes, Death is always there marching on to take us in the end. Noone escapes death at all. This is a good thoughtful write usuing your imaginations to the extreme end.

We live in a world that the deaths are happening everyday because of the wars. People die, but the world doesn't stop there, it is still marches on seasons in and seasons out.

It's sad, but it's a wonderful write!!!

perhaps the true test of death is being able to survive it ... we leave our presence, like leaves behind us but the tree of our origin continues on ...

deep, insightful poem handled with the proper amount of finesse ...
