What did you do for me, with me, to me?
You sent silver spangled thunder, moonlight,
Sunshine shivers through and through me!
Oh such an open hand I held out to you,
So wide open, filled with my heart,
My soul, my life, my very being.
It used to be that I held it hidden
Deep in my pocket for none to see,
No-one to hurt me, to touch and tell.
Then you captured my heart and it was like I knew you so well,
Trusted you so much, loved you so completely.
It was then that I held it all out to you to touch
Knowing that you would not hurt me.
Oh treasured gentle much loved lady of mine
To whom I hold out my hand just one last time.
My love for you will always be so soft and warm through all eternity.
Goodnight my darling, God bless, rest in peace.
This is a personal poem about the lady I loved who died suddenly in my arms two days before we were to be together on lifes journey
