A poem thought of for women. Women are always returning, to theirselves, to others, to their dreams, to those who admire. |

The women have returned..again…
From the grassroots of mother and fathers teachings
From the unpredictable seasons, causing head-on collisions and delays to destinations
From the obstruction of injustice and the people who represent it
Back to theirselves, the purpose, the dream deep rooted…
The women are returning….
To school house dialogue, course catalogues and overcrowded parking lots
Dedicated to mastering pre-requisite curriculum to get to higher division
Microsoft Windows Word, Adobe reader and e-mail attachments
Tending to personal obligations in the midst of it all …
Rising above the stressors and the predecessors of its consumption
With a smirk, if not a smile and a straight back held strong by firm feet…
The women are returning…..
To the youth outside of the family unit, the generation that needs them the most
The young women and men of the late teens, early, mid, twenties
Who claim to know it all, seen it all, but always come up short..
Who hide behind attitudes and compiled insecurities
The mature few coming into their own seeking direction
Now are eager to listen, to take notice, and not pose disruption….
The women have returned…
From prison sentences, false time served for unlawful reasons, divorces and the parting of a childs life with his mothers security…
From corners turned wrong and the lessons that soon followed
Decisions made not instinctively, half or whole-heartedly, not from the heart.….
From the downside of things, entrapped in between, the upbringing that saw them through..
Revealing a new perception of life…
The women are returning….
From their self-conscious selves to conscious women
This time with positive reinforcements behind them
This time with wisdom on their side and the voice to exert it
This time with the master plan to only achieve, to pave a way, to pick up where once traveled…
Women…struggle, succumb, surpass, sustain, resurface…
Always returning ….
