We were meant to be together
It was written once somewhere
In a time so very long ago
times of knights and ladies fair

My journey in life to find you
has been a long and twisted road
full of falls and pain and bitterness
and some horrors left untold

You shined your brilliant light of love
into my sore and hurting heart
You drew me out into your light
stopped me from hiding in the dark

We were destined to be together
it was meant right from the start
The words of love you offer
soothe and heal my aching heart

You touch so deep within my soul
no other ever could
hold and heal me as you do
maybe they never would

For you and I belong to each other
things are as they should be
for as you own my heart my love
this will forever be

You hold my body and soothe my soul
you raise my passions high
You make my loving you so easy
I dont ever have to try

These words dont come out easily
a poet i will never be
but loving you is what i do
because it sets me free

Willow,

This is a beautiful poem, one with many ages, songs and cries. Glorious! Pen on my friend.
