Three stanzas, rhyming.

SONG OF THE SUIT

‘Throw away those rotten rags!’
The wise old woman said.
‘In such Hebrew vestiments
You should not be seen dead.’

My friend agreed, we cast them off,
And made a firm alliance.
Found a man, got kitted out
In the clean white suit of science.

The suit got tight, it shrunk, got soiled.
I could no longer take it.
I peeled it off and found at last
More joy in going naked.
