A inspiration poem
Nestling By the Fire with My Dog Jaliela
Listening to the flames as they sizzle
As the crackles of the flames from the logs echo throughout the room
Making it sound like a big boom
As I sit in my Grandpa Woo’s arms,
I can feel the heat from my dog’s furry feet
As she lays still in her special seat
Vigorously biting on her bone
And warming her nose with the warmth of the fire
I can’t help to stare at the fire
As I watch in bewilderment
As the flames, looks like a bunch of Rockettes dancing in silhouette
I can’t help to breathe deeply
As I breathe in the sweet aroma of a fresh fire
As I turn my head to the left,
Watching the stars light up the sky
Resembling the shape of a big, white kite
As time quickly dwindles on
As the room becomes a blur
And dreams start coming to me
Grandpa quickly stands up,
And whispering the words, “goodnight”
As Jaliela, my buddy falls asleep right beside me
It was tonight

A beautiful and peaceful poem. I could feel the serenity as she lay in Grandpas arms falling asleep by the fire.
