Isn't the sunset just, for the most part, so beautiful? I cannot get enough of them or sunrises, but they are TOO early...

Sunset Steeple…

The steeple looks afire,

With the setting sun all aglow,

Sun has not much further to go,

Giving up its space to the night, so slow…

“Red sky at night, sailor delight,”

Very much the red sky this night,

Bringing a perfect day the next, albeit wind,

Sun doesn’t understand, not like it sinned,

It’s reluctance shows in this prose, but no gripe…

Ole sol releases its grip over earthly skies,

Giving way to a starry night & moonlit sky,

Radiational cooling comes with darkness,

The world awaiting sol’s return,

Warmth & light from this star away so far,

Here for us, no matter where we are…
