Having been on the receiving end of
death,
I have found new life & a job I like...

Dark Angel…

Here I have been referred to as such,

My picture above saying as much,

I have to agree, as I do seem to clutch,

The darker arts with both hands I touch…

Not so bad being a dark angel,

Nine to five job working for Archangel,

Guiding the newly died to heavens gate,

Driving my chariot across the clouds,

Awaiting that of my next appointment, yes date…

I get to intermingle with life in general,

Not that I can even jingle a bell, remaining most venerable,

The beings alive; have no interest in me, nor are they knowledgeable,

Regards my job, until they die and looking for the way to eternal life…

Scoop them up I do, into my chariot, so new,

My old one was an out of date model,

The archangel knew of this, giving me a new one with all the options,

So now I have heat and air-conditioning, and a radio,

The only station I listen to is WHEVN, keeping track of the news,

For that is where, for the most part, I achieve my job cues…

This was great - so funny and so clever!!

It reminds me that far too often we take such matters too serious - it's a wonderful thing to add the element of humor!!!

Well done!
