Poetry & humor to a degree, feel the need to write today, but gotta work, gotta bring home the bacon, gotta make the almighty dollar, the root of evil, etc...

Work Ethic…

Gotta get moving, gotta go,

Take a shower and dress,

Of late comes first my job,

I really feel as if I am being robbed,

For the more I work, the less I write,

I know that the job is for the best,

It is where I get fed, only right…

But still in all, I want to write on certain days,

This being one of them, want to take the day off,

And sit here and write, write & write some more, herein I must scoff,

For I still have to do the work thing, my ethic therein being strong,

Don’t like to take off a day, unless I am dying,

Today I am quite literally “dying” to write; here I am not lying…

So as always, I will go in, for my 10 or 12-hour day,

And my three to four hundred mile drive, I will strive,

To make my day more fun, to enjoy it & not to shun,

My duties on long distance delivery runs…

But be back later, I will,

Trust me herein I still,

Need to write, need to use my quill,

So to speak, as my computer is what I use therein,

To still my aching lil writers elf, till I get home later,

Putting my job once again on the shelf,

And writing to my little hearts content,

So you all can profit or not, that is my intent…
