In the trenches,
shaking and scared,
something big coming,
I feared.

Life rumbled up to me,
big and bold like a tank.
At first I was frightened,
then things got exciting.

I had no tank killer,
how was I to beat such a monster?
As it tried to roll over me,
I ducked and dodged.
But it seemed too large.

Out of nowhere I found a weapon,
I changed my perception,
It wasn't the tank that was large.
I was thinking too negative and small.
I focused my vision,
took another look,
made some positive changes.

The tank was under my foot,
still there but I towered.
I kicked it around,
but I couldn't crush it.
It was still tough,
too strong to smash,
besides I kind of liked it,
as long as I could control it.

I collect tanks now,
remotes,
all sizes.

They're my toys.
