Such is life.

I stood in an astonished way.
Words not there to say.
Without further ado, I said " I do, "
Then off to the ocean to lay in bed.
Scorched by the rays of the sun,
I left her on the beach to find some fun.
When I returned, she was burnt red,
And that ended the fun in bed.
Years down the road,
She carried that heavy load.
I didn't understand the ways of a child,
But nevertheless, I was still proud.
Then, along came another,
Who acted like his mother.
I don't know what to say, I don't know what to do.
One thing I know for sure is, I don't love you.
Eighteen years of a lyin and a cheating,
Watching your Cheshire cat grin as my wallet takes a beating,
Makes me wonder why I said, I do.
Now, I look for true love, a gift only from you.
